Beauté Cosmetics are a Beauty!
We first heard about the boutique Canadian cosmetic line Beauté (pronounced Bow-Tay) from our English friends over a pixiwoo, where the girls couldn’t say enough good things about the line’s lipglosses.
The line, which is mainly comprised of lip products and sold exclusively online and at the high-end Canadian department store HOLT RENFREW, was founded by Beau Nelson, a Canadian Make-Up Artist with a plethora of experience in the fashion and beauty side of the industry.
We were sent a few items to try from the line which arrived in a beautiful glossy black box tied with a satin ribbon— appearances after all, are everything!
We must start off by saying that Mr. Nelson certainly knows a thing or two about creating the perfect lipgloss!
The Luminous Volume Gloss in Heroine (a nude plum, better but yet similar to ones natural lip shade) we were sent did exactly what the company claims it will:
Moisturizes and hydrates
Plumps and shapes
Smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
Protects
Defines surface area
We could not wait to put it on every morning… and the best part? We did not need to reapply (even though we really wanted to!) until after lunch— staying power like that is so rare for a gloss!
Minxy is dying to try the Weightless Lip Crème in Masochist (a more opaque gloss in a truly flattering blue red tone) but will be reviewing the Liqui-Gel Stain in Harlot (a stain for lips and cheeks) this week!
